  • @Quagmire97 Lupe is nice man, but I think your putting him in a league he probably can't play in. I like him too, but to say he has stuff better than anything Biggie, Jay, and Thought have ever even done? I urge you to dig deeper. I respect your opinion and to each his own, but try to be objective too.

  • YA these guys came up in the underground movement and really set new standards for dope ass rap.

  • @KryptonDaVillain -You really don't understand. In New York alone, there have been remarkably talented rappers and rap groups you've never even heard of that completely tear apart Jay-Z. The fact that you earnestly believe mainstream success has to do with talent of the artist says a lot about how you analyze (or actually your lack of analysis). The underground movement has produced countless acts that epitomize the art of rap. Jay-Z isn't consistent and as a result, he fell off.

  • @KryptonDaVillain When I analyze rap, I look at a myriad of things: 1) Lyricism 2) Flow & Delivery 3) Character 4) Individuality. First off, mainstream success means nothing "Going platinum, its got nothing to do with luck it just means that a million people are STUPID AS FUCK." Soulja Boy has achieved mainstream success but that doesn't imply that he is talented so your logic is flawed. There are many rappers better than Jay-Z, as far as lyrical profundity and legitimacy.

  • @AryanPersianProdigy Lyricism doesn't automatically equate to greatness. Jay-Z has the charisma, the mic presence & the flow that makes him a top-ten rapper of all time. The fact that he's also accomplished himself in the mainstream shows that I'm not the only one with this opinion.

  • this remix was produced by the same guy that produced katy perry's and kesha's albums.

    no joke.

  • @QUAGMIRE97 please post one verse or at least 8 bars from lupe to put him in the same catagory as ANY of the legendary mc's you are generously and I mean GENEROUSLY listing him with and maybe you can shut us up ...doubt it

  • @WeezyRakimDrizzy lol..Jay-Z isn't even top 20 of all time. He is good for the mainstream but lyrically he isn't as profound as many of the acts that exist in the underground movement you probably fail to acknowledge.

  • @Quagmire97 Lupe is better than Nas? Good joke. Nas, Cormega, Mobb Deep, Black Thought, Black Moon, BCC, Tupac, etc etc etc are all better than Lupe.

  • Bombing all nite to this!!
