Is it possible to not use this? And just use the blue tooth connection? We don't have a PC which is why we were wondering if we have to use the Samantha Module. Thank you- team 5101

You should make a step-by-step guide on how to get your robot to receive joystick controls from a computer via ad hoc, or at least a video guide on how to get ad hoc working. It would definitely help tons of people out.

We finally got our Samantha Module and have set it up succseesfully. It connect with the router & NXT great! However, when we are in FCS the robot is found, but there is an error in connecting because it appears red and says "not connected to TROUBLE at 192.168.1.109" Help?

@skagwayftc I'm assuming you named your NXT "TROUBLE" which will be an issue at your competition. Make sure the name of your NXT is your team #. The next issue may be one of two things. 1st, did you pair your NXT and router by pressing the red button on the Sam? 2nd, your computer settings may be putting up a firewall, which could prevent connecting. You will have to check you settings on that one. Let me know if this helped.

We have a WI-FI network set up in our house and the Samantha won't connect to it. I read at usfirst.org that the Samantha should just connect to the the network automatically but its not working. please help us out. Thanks. (FTC Team 5298)

@01rivertrader I'm more than happy to help you out! The Samantha won't connect to your router by default, there are several steps you have to perform first. Watch the video tutorial on router configuration and also the video on flashing Samantha to help you better understand the process for getting these components to function together.

@ivanha1 The Samantha module allows wireless communication between the NXT and the computer. This allows teams to compete without using USB cables.
