David Wells Elise Bedford Autodrome Instructed by Ben Elliott 1st run pt1

A demonstration of how much tuition can be provided in a 15 minute session. David had driven the Bedford Autodrome circuit before but not in this car.

My job as a Track day / Race Instructor is to work on what I believe to be the core principles of track driving, Vision - Technique and Pace.

Across the two videos you can hear me giving advice on various visual techniques first as it is vital for a driver to know their speed relative to the corner.

I then move on to driving techniques, initially the controlled release of the brake pedal to give better stability on corner entry.

Later on in the debrief we then covered braking harder and later for corners - this cannot be done however until the driver can release the pedal smoothly as they will be likely to enter the corner too quickly and with an unbalanced car.
