You are not informed correctly. They are fantastic. The meat is sweet and tender if eaten raw, or you can cook it and it is light and fluffy.

I spear fish like these at least once a week. The local Japanese call it the "Sachimi Ichi Ban!" I agree.... they are delicious.

I speared those fishes with pole spear while freediving(single breath holding).
