America's Ultimate Challenge and a half! Join this flatlander and an amazing group of adrenaline junkies for 39.53 miles and 15,630 feet of lung-searing vertical climb followed by 7000+ feet of flesh-eating descent (sorry, a bit heavy on the hyperbole, but these races are rather hyperbole-inducing). Two weeks post-race and all has healed except the cracked rib from fall #3. Looking forward to a flat, paved oxygen-abundant Chicago Marathon in October. Many thanks to an incredible group of volunteers and rescue workers -- you make climbing into the oxygen-deprived ether pretty darn fun!

Special shout-out to Jeff Elliott from Wichita, Walter van Waterschoot from Belgium, Tami, Zach, Kaity and Jake!

August 20-21, 2011. Manitou Springs, CO.

Great music from Dano at danosongs.com!
