I don't think CHARITY is the exact word for it.

It's non-religious. It's a form of doing good deeds.

Maybe charity is a word like welfare, bad connotations to it.

Until you are really out there it is hard to know the feeling that comes with sharing a meal. No one out there has to do a single thing to be fed. They do not have to compromise their religious beliefs or listen to preaching to eat they just eat. Nothing expected. You get to know the people you share a meal with and that plants a seed nothing can take away.

Feed-the-Children and such chariites helping foreigners, *Birth Control* (Population Control) should also be a focus as well as providing a means to be self sufficient eventually. Give them millions and it will be gone soon, they will be hungry again and hand out asking for more! Less birth rates means less suffering and more manageable to provide. Its pretty simple, but most dont get it. Food Not Bombs is pretty good tho!

So much waste in most Humanitarian Charities - lots of overhead in buildings (church/religion), large salaries (hsus) and such and little outreach or results to reduce suffering. I dont claim to know it all - but my experiences in the PeaceCorps most dont even yield a solution. For VEGAN, simply leaving them alone helps billions of mammals, health care system, environment and even reduce hun...ger by sparing resources.

i have an idea.. do away with the tyrant government, you can buy a bunch of food with all the money you save in taxes, and send it to whoever you want...food not bombs

this is not a charity...its just people helping people...a concept that the world has forgotten but its never too late to remember...may the goodness of human nature always prevail...no more souls left behind!!!
