@dunhillsupramk3 as the 1980's rolled around the Walkman became cheaper in terms in price and quality. By 1989 you could buy a Walkman without the cassette port for a few bucks. The REAL Walkman was built like a tank and it costed around $125.00(someone correct me if i'm wrong).

@dunhillsupramk3 No USB port. Remember, the Walkman came out before home computers. What's cool about this Walkman, the first generation, is that you could listen to music, and with a flip of a switch of the external microphone, you could listen to music and your external surrounding so you didn't have to remove your earphones when someone was talking to you. How I wish ipods had this external mic feature.

No, no USB port. The Apple II was a fairly new PC at this time. I had two of Apple II's, but not at the same time though.
