On this lovely spring afternoon, Wiliam was very relaxed and enjoying himself, so I just let him choose his own tempo and pace.
Holding the reigns in the left hand and the camera in the right hand (and the whip in the socket), I hope you can feel some of my joy and thrill driving him.

  • Today I had my first time ever with driving a horse and it was totally strange for me, especially when being very used to only ride on it's back. But it was awesome anyway and this sharing experience is also <3

I hope to earn a license in the future to do such things on my own x]

  • @GoatBlaat

I remember having that same feeling, as you really miss direct contact with the horse through your body.

You have to learn to understand the visual bodylanguage of a horse far more and react to that, but its well worth it.

  • Thank you for the "ride"!!!! I found myself sitting here with a huge grin on my face, just having a great time! Thanks again!

  • Recognise that feeling :-)

  • Fantastic - thankyou. Where do you have these wonderful 'rides'?

  • We have a really wonderful wooded and heathered area nearby.

    I am absolutely spoiled :-)

  • just watching his ears, that is a hell of a happy boy.

  • I would love to take my mare for a gallop along those roads..

  • That was absolutely wonderful. It was as if I was on the ride with you. Looking forward to training my two gypsy cob horses to do the same.

  • what a stunningly beautiful video...

  • is dit in de loonse en drunese duinen???

  • very nice horse!!

  • good to see him working, he'd love that.

  • What a spectacular piece of video! "With the reins in one hand and the camera in the other" you have totally captured the thrill and shown how very steady your hands must be!

  • don't ride much anymore. back/neck/head injuries, vertigo make it unsafe except with a very well mannered horse. this was a lot like getting back in the saddle. thanks for the ride. :^D

  • i used to do that with my horse but horseback riding .. when there was a long straight path and it was nice and quite and she was calm id let the rains slightly loose and give one tap just to let her know she can go... but she used to take advantage of the freedom and switch straight to gallop letting out a few happy bucks in the beginning hehe its still a great feeling thought .. leaving the choice up to them sometimes for a little while when theyre behaving :) your horse is beautiful!!! :)
