Thanks to my good friend, Yates, I finally got through DoF stuff.

Basically, he sent me a demo render. I asked him for a blend file, he made one for me to work on and he explained some stuff... anyway, the important thing is: I got it!

OK, so... expect tons of blur and defocus in the next renders.

THANKS YATES DUDE!!

  • Nice work, one question- i know when ur DoF blur and such the render turns out black with a lining around the objects- how did u turn it white with blue lining? thanks

    Nice work

  • I have absolutely no idea, man. Just get your nodes alright and to test renders after modifying each value. I think it's got something to do with the threshold value, but I'm not sure.

  • I totally understand what that means. No serouisly, thanks.

  • It's basically the DEFOCUS node, tweaked a bit, the camera settings (F9) and some IPO for the camera.

  • Well at least give us clues or something so we can just figure it out for ourselves

  • Hell with it, man, these days I am not so free, don't expect a flood of tuts!
