Mario Kart Wii Freeze Glitch/Error

Just playing Time Trials against the expert staff, and somehow the game just locked up as my character flew past the finish line. The entire Wii then locked up, wouldn't turn off and had to be turned off at the plug.

On the bright side, none of my three star license data was lost.

Note: I have never used Homebrew or anything in my life, or connected to wifi connection, so it's nothing to do with either.

dont worry, i got the freeze when i tried to join my friend, *Nirvana*. i turned off the wii by wii power button 'cause wii remote wouldnt respond!
