What do others here think: if you have the Ayahuasca plants in your body, at that time, does it help to listen to this video (do the icaros still have an effect), or is that like thinking the sword will protect you even if the knight who can swing it is not around?

@induce True! It is a pitty I do not speak the native languages of the Shamans in the Amazon; I think that without understanding the meaning of the words, a lot of the "magic" is lost. For example: I have the CD with Icaros from Luiz Panduro Vasquez, and I love the melodies/chanting/whistling, but except for phrases like "Ayahuasca medichintje", it is impossible to understand all he sings. I am still looking for good translations!

What is the function of this Icaro? Is it for blessing the Ayahuasca, for raising energy in beginning of ceremony, for curing or something else?

Yes. That was captured in 2005 at Mayantuyacu.
