Headed out for an afternoon of railfanning and between 12:30 and 5:00 caught the Bow coal train in Nashua NH with Norfolk Southern run through power. Then off to Gardner, MA and got the Pan Am Southern autorack/intermodal train AYMO (Ayer to Mohawk) with UP run through power. Then following 20 minutes later POED (Portland to East Deerfield) with Guilford power, a GP40-2w and a high nose GP-40. The headed to Ayer, MA and got AY-5 (Ayer switcher) and a MBTA commuter train at The Willows. Then finally got PWBO (Providence and Worcester to Bow) coal train with an A-A-B-B-A GE lashup snaking through the interlocking where the MBTA fitchburg main and the Pan Am main meet. Only on Pan Am/Guilford can you catch such a diversity of power in 5 hours!!
Why spend on CTC when your trains move 15 mph? CSX runs some dark lines with 25 trains a day at 50MPH

@cu29640 all the signals shown here are active CTC; you'll notice at 1:50 and 2:55 the signals light up when the train enters the block
