Mike, you obviously know NOTHING about speed flying canopies. It's ok, lots of people have closed minds.

yeah, not everyone gets it, but I do. Rock on!

belo video.

Good to hear that there was official landing permission, that makes me feel a LOT better about this activity.
Maybe these wings can appeal to mountain climbers who want a quick way down after reaching the summit?

I heard rumours the speeflyer ended in trees several times, short of the chosen landings. If true, can we see the videos of that?

Speedriding???? what a waste of effort , this preformance is 1980's
Are you allowed to fly these at mt seven

Best XC soaring sight in the country, a day with puffy cus visible in the video, and you want to dive to the ground in under 4 minutes? (And fail to land in the official landing field in the process?). I fail to see the attraction. As a winter-time activity, maybe, but on a nice summer day? I don't get it.

Rushhh!... Excellent ! Great job !
I'm glad you're starting to get it. We hiked uo to the upper launch and summit ridge of Mount 7 in the mornings, around 8:30am. IMHO It defeats the point for me to fly straight out to the "official LZ". When speedflying, I like to ride the terrain down the mountain...fast...and land as close to the base as possible. Threre are endless alpine/hike and fly applications...but you're right, it's not for everyone.

We received permission from the owners of Mount 7 Lodge to land in their field at the base of the mountain. It may have looked like we disappeared into the trees but we had perfect spot landings every time. Thanks for your comments. We are all entitled to our opinions but why waste your time watching speedflying vids if you are so biased? Go flying!
