@DancesWithEskimos91 Eartha Kitt was brought in to play Catwoman because Julie Newmar was no longer available, and because Yvonne DeCarlo had been cast as Batgirl to try and boost sagging ratings, and the producers perhaps didn't want anyone stealing the spotlight from her. Anyway, if you watch season 2 you'll see that Newmar's Selina is taken to prison by the police. In season 3, Eartha Kitt's Catwoman takes over, but she has no knowledge of anything that happened in the first 2 seasons.

@44excalibur Woah. So Eartha Kitt's Catwoman had absolutely nothing to do with the others? As in, she wasn't another Selina Kyle? That's really interesting to know. I just thought she was another Selina Kyle brought into the series cuz the others had finished their contracts or something...which is most likely the reason.

@DancesWithEskimos91 No, you're right. The Halle Berry Catwoman was more a homage to the Eartha Kitt Catwoman from the 60's TV series. You'll notice that Julie Newmar's Selina Kyle/Catwoman was taken into custody at the end of season 2 after saying goodbye to Batman in Comissioner Gordon's office by rubbing her cheek against his and purring into his ear. In season 3, Selina is in prison and a different Catwoman(Eartha Kitt) who has no relationship to Batman at all has taken over for her.

@Beldinoob If you're calling it an artistic fail, I totally agree with you. I just hate it when people say that they didn't like it because it wasn't the real Catwoman, when that was never the intention to begin with. If I were anyone else, I'd probably despise that movie, but because I'm obsessed with all things Catwoman, it's almost like I have no choice but to like it XD There were some pretty awesome scenes in that movie, if that's all there was. Hehe.
