The Bidu-Qatanna village bloc, in Ramallah District, suffers from a severe water shortage, as do many other areas in the Occupied Territories . Mekorot, the Israeli water company, supplies only one-half of the water consumed by the 50,000 villagers of this area. To meet the rest of their water needs, the villagers have to buy water from private suppliers at a much higher price and store it in unsanitary conditions. As a result, the residents are forced to consume poor-quality water and use it in small quantities. Meanwhile, the 3,000 settlers in the nearby settlement of Har Adar receive an unlimited amount of water, which comes from the same reservoir. (September 2007). www.btselem.org

  • You are right extazy. In the same vein of logic, why should the US help Israel? All we get is attacked for helping a nation that acts like this. Our ship the USS Liberty is attacked by Israel to get us to attack it's enemies. Spies from Rosenbergs to Pollard not to mention all calls routed through Israeli owned spy factories for the Patriot Act. Israel knows every call made in America before the NSA. We ask for Israelm to treat Palestinians like humans and are told to fuck ourselves while our...

  • @redarrowhead2 By what moral standard are you attempting to rationalize this? It's an illegal occupation, which means that all acts committed in the process are illegal as well, i.e.settlements, wall, home demolition, check point, Jewish only roads and theft of water resources. "Restrictions on markets"? You make it sound like the trading floor on wall street. These are people being deprived of there very basic human rights. Don't be so callous and disingenuous in your comments.

  • @StyrbjornStarke The official Israeli justification for such a crime is irrelevant. The real reason these people are being deprived of water is because they are not Jewish. The objective is to make life so difficult and miserable that they would pack up and leave. In other words, ethnic cleansing.

  • Jesus they shut down their water supply? what is their official reason for doing so?

  • Breaking The Silence the devastating testimonies of IDF soldier's actions in the Occupied Territories is now ready ina edited form for public performance

  • @redarrowhead2 u mad bro ?

  • @onoaptelunga these are the affects of occupation. The territories need greater autonomy but it is big mess since when Israel loosens its grip, murderers slip through the cracks. A peace treaty will solve supply issues such as these with fewer to no restrictions on the markets.

  • @IndoAtheist you're a muslim from indonesia, can hardly speak english, have no idea what's going on in the US, and have been reading up on zionist conspiracies of the worst kind.

  • scholars, as early as Josephus, have associated the Semitic Hyksos with the ancient Hebrews, seeing their departure from Egypt as the story retold in the Exodus. Notably, Hebrew names occur among the Hyksos.
