  • wbere can i get models like 0.07

  • Can anybody tell me if a jet can go over 9 gs or even higher.?!

  • this is true. it is called the FLCS (flight control system) but the f-16 also has a system called the MPO (manual pitch override) which was put in in case one needed to pull out of a stall and allows one to cross the limits set by the FLCS. so they can activate the MPO get passed 9 g's. whether the Thunderbirds have this removed, just turn it off, or if the FLCS limits the g's only around the 9 g limit and not right at it, as allotube said, the HUD shows us that they somehow did get passed it.

  • as psupepperoni said there are some insane g's that people have pulled in the past but it depends on what kind of g's you are pulling. in a car when you pull g's it is in the x and z axis, that is horizontally forward and backward and laterally. but in a plane the g's come in the y axis, that is vertically. this y axis g pulling tends to draw the blood out of your head, causing one to pass out easier when compared to g's in the other axis.

  • That's a complicated question. A racecar driver named Kenny Breck was in a collision that was recorded at 215 G's and survived, but it took 18 months for him to recover from his injuries.

John Stapp strapped himself to a rocket sled in the 1950's and went through 42 lateral G's with only minor eye related injuries. Generally 75-100 G's is supposed to kill you.

  • You mean its limited to 9 G's... The F-16 itself can hold together approaching 15 G's. The limiter is for the pilots.

  • What is the recorded (by video)

well... hardest.G taken by a human..?

  • But that's the F-16A, the Thunderbirds perform in F-16C's and their stats show it can only stand 9 G's.

  • Yes it is possible, I have seen the HUD tape of a USN Aggressor F-16A with a max g of 9.8. If you assault multiple control limits at the same time the FCS has a hard time keeping you in the safe zone.

  • You can see the G meter at the top left hand side of the HUD. When he is turning, it reached 9.3 at 0:54 in the video.
