You DJs might know this. Boris and Chris were Power 106 deejays in Los Angeles, when Freestyle was big. They never scratched or did anything fancy, but I always admired their smooth mixes. So smooth sometimes, that you couldn't tell where the mix transitions were. They also did a little remix and editing work. I'd like to know if they're still deejaying somewhere.

Don't forget these Power moments. Those Boris & Chris Club Mixes every weeknight before 9pm. Back in the day it was a real treat. The Station wasn't oversaturated with mixing so it made even better.

Let me add 2 more to my idols. Boris and Chris. Does anyone remember these guys? "Often imitated, never duplicated, Boris & Chris rocking the mix on your Power 106....Club Mix." These guys were awesome. These guys introduced me to Techno.

The 12" versions [of "Straight Up"] were remixed by L.A. "Powermixers" Chris Modig and Boris Granich, known for their special Powermixes at Power 106 during the 80's.

  • The freestyle was awsome. Noel Cinthia, damn i remember johnny o and t.k.a. in concert at six flags.

  • I still remember watching the cassette reals turning with my headphones on ready to capture the best mixes on the west coast.

  • LIVE at the Palace in Hollywood its dancin Saturday night on your power 106. I will never forget the B + C. L.A. club mixes! I recorded a ton of them onto TDK sa-x cassettes! between 87-89. Still have at least 10 or so in a box. Growing up in the Landcaster area.
