During an interview on This Week talking about the mess our banking industry is in, Jon Kyl tries to say that it's the Democratic Congress, not Bush that is like Herbert Hoover... and of course let's not forget to lay some blame on those homeowners who got taken advantage of as well. Who voted for this schmuck?

  • they are also the ones who campaigned for years to pull out of Iraq but guess what, we are still there. Thats why i just left the party.

  • when this guy comes up for re-election, I will definitely vote the other way!!! Crock Schmucker!!! They are the ones that wanted the bailout! I know 6 people with loans that went default.... None of them Qualified! Even the bankers that i have spoken with, say... this is a Democratic response to push a program that doesnt even work! The dems want oversight... WELL, what did you get elected for in the first place... And what business do you have in the private sector??? Shmuck Shoeface!

  • bear stearns? $2 a share and howling? yet millions still are in foreclosure and nothing to date has come out of congress to stop the crisis and still we continue to fail. Career politicians in the pockets of the billioniare elites is the American problem.

  • what 'ordinary' people? You people who never work and sit around eating Doritos and watching Ellen?

  • So it's "socialism" when the government bails out poor, ordinary Americans, but somehow "free market" when it bails out airlines, oil companies, military contractors, and Bear Stern???

If the govt has to be involved in the structuring of our economy I would much rather have socialism than corporate fascism, wouldn't you?

  • So it's "socialism" when the government bails out poor, ordinary citizens, but "free market" when it bails out airlines, oil companies, military contractors, and Bear Sterns??

  • It's not "modest". It's socialist.

(Although he's right the administration is Hoover-like.)
