During halftime of the 1986 CBA All-Star Classic, several lucky fans were given the opportunity to hit a long-distance basket, with the winner receiving a zero coupon bond for $1 million (it should mature in about 2025, if my math is correct)

  • Continental Basketball Association. A minor basketball league located mostly in the Northeast US. Used to be the premier minor league before the NBADL. It's highlight was probobly getting bronze in the 1998 World Championship, because all of the NBA players could not play due to lockout.
