  • @tossingmidgetsforfun I like Del myself but to say he didn't have Cube's help is BS. Del began his career actually writing lyrics for Da Lench Mob. In 1991, with the help of Ice Cube, Del released his first solo album, I Wish My Brother George Was Here. Ultimately Del, who was not pleased with the limited musical range of the album, severed his production-artist relationship with Ice Cube for his next album, No Need for Alarm.

  • 6 dudes gonna get scalped!!

  • @giroyagetme then listen to canadain native music duh

  • @sleestakattack and @MadeRude91 I would propose this: We, true Hip Hop Fans, admirers and partakers of the whole culture from break dancing to Graffiti, can recognize the difference between "Hip Hop", "Rap", and the commercially cultivated "Hip POP". So it's not so much that mainstream artist are "overated", because you cant argue with their success from a business model and corporate revenue generating perspective. Simply put it's that they just aren't in the same "Class". Just my thoughts.

  • @MadeRude91 By that logic none of the cookie-cutter, conveyer belt, industry produced, commercial robots making mainstream "rap" music today are considered "hip-hop" ...therefore I can call them over-rated. They're over-rated.
