the problem here is the crowd, as a computer technician i wouldn perform well under preassure if I had 20 people recording me, same thing with the cop, in a situation like that, the crowd made him nervous which was why he used the gun unknowingly. if i was a judge, i would charge everybody in the crowd with conspiracy to murder. if they woulda let the man do his job that death woulda been avoided

The shooting was not intentional. Don't let your emotions get ahead of the damn facts. There should be an inquiry, but some people here want to hang or fuck police? Get outta here.
-
Fuck the police. This is sickening.

@JCrest87 Wrong. A taser is shaped like a gun with a trigger. The M26 and the Sig Sauer both have black rubberized handles as well. I don't know how your statement got such high ratings, but you obviously do not know what you are talking about.

Wrong was officer or right:
DON'T make disturbance in a public place thus making people around fear. You will have MUCH LESS CHANCE to get shot.
-
the system will and alway remain racist from the past to the future.
-
This idiot should at least serve a couple of years for negligent manslaughter but I'm sure this was not racially motivated. These people were being arrested for breaking the law and the victim kept trying to get up... Even the person recording it says "Stay down man" "Stop resisting".... but the cop was just a scared, panicked, idiot, not a racist.... He probably couldn't have told the difference between a pistol, taser, or freakin water gun at that point...
-
You can clearly see that the idiot was caught off guard by the fact that he just shot his fkin pistol. What an idiot.
-
Sadly, I do believe this is just a stupid fucking cop who was panicked by actually having to do his job... There should be much better intense situational training for these wanna be heroes... This douche-bag probably joined the force cause he was a pussy and he wanted to build up his confidence.

@BugnutsRa 1) Mehserle had no intention of using deadly force, he intended to tase him, which is quite obvious. 2) Yes, every officer there knew their life was in danger, a hostile crowd had begun physically attacking officers.3) Yes they had Grant on the ground, but they were outnumbered 5-1 by the crowd who began attacking officers, and therefore needed to subdue Grant without further delay. 4) I have never said the shooting was justified, only that it was accidental, and criminally negligent.
A gun has a trigger and is shaped like a gun. A taser is shaped like a fat remote. If you are a cop you should damn well know what the difference is between your firearms or you shouldnt be holding them at all.

wtf are you talking about how was he dangerous and violent. He was on the floor face down not doing a goddamn thing. The worst he could have been doing was talking shit, but clearly the officer wasnt in any harm. As you can see in the video the officer just stand up and shoots him in the back. Protecting himself my ass, the law always 'accidentally' does something to minority's
