I don't get it; why should the ACLU be embarrassed because of what one of it's presidents was doing in his home on his own time? Child pornography is obviously reprehensible, but I'm sure the guy was fired from the ACLU, probably right after he was arrested. I don't get the problem; the ACLU itself doesn't endorse child porn...

I agree that it wasn't as big a deal as OReilly is making it out to be, but it was still noteworthy and many of the more liberal news organizations did neglect the story.

Perhaps it is better to wait until there is a conviction to report it? I don't like how arrests and stuff get reported in cases like this because even if someone isn't convicted, as a public figure the person is condemned and hunted. Also video's>videos. Video's means video is.

I think when the head of a Christian conservative organization gets busted for a crime like this he should be punished the same as a liberal. It is a bigger news story however because of the hypocrisy of the christian conservative. IMHO

Kristen Powers seems to have the right idea about the level of these to people in their respective org's and in the national debate

The ACLU has actively defended the right to "possess and distribute" Child porn, just not the right to produce it. Check your facts.

Again I say, this media issue from last year needs to be revived, will we have an ACLU-friendly president and culture or not, the ACLU has a big covered up, dirty elephant in the room here.

Either way, I honestly think that this issue didn't get NEARLY enough attention. The fact that SO MANY news groups kept TOTALLY HUSH about their precious ACLU's child rape porn scandal should have been front page news for weeks. Everyone needs to keep this fresh in their mind, because there are many more stories like this that no network will dare let the public see.....

Concubines and slave girls are permitted in pretty much every religion. Concubinage goes on today en masse, whether people call it their "mistress" or their "affair". So if you are going to slam Judaism on that, you are going to have slam every other culture.

The Torah only allows sexual relations between a man and his partner, whether she is his wife or concubine. But there is no such thing as a verse that condones pedophilia. Even if the girl is still virgin before 3, the man should die.

Have you actually read the verse in question?

It says that if a girl is violated before she is 3 by a disgusting molestor, she is still fit to be labeled as a virgin, but if she is older than 3 she is ruined. It in no way condones Pedophilia. There is no pedophilia allowed in Judaism or the Torah, there is no sexual relations allowed in Judaism beyond man and wife. All else is death penalty worthy. Pedos should be executed by the most painful means, such as acid, skinning, (or both)
