A compilation of some white crane kata performed in the White Crane House in Yong Chun Fujian. These performances from different branches of the White Crane Style were performed in the presence of Hanshi Morio Higaonna and members of IOGKF in December 2009. Apologies about the music.

  • @jarmenta4 Goju- and Uechi-Ryu share Sanchin (Sanzhan/ Sachian) with Baihe Quan. Other kata have been derived from there. And it's no secret that Kanryo Higaonna and Kanbun Uechi brought that form to Okinawa themselves. Actually known Karatedo history. It's also known that there are many connections between Karatedo (in general) and a few chinese styles like Baihe Quan, Hung Gar (look at Passai), Tang Lang, Luohan Quan and even Xingyi Quan. Most probably way more!

  • @jarmenta4 it should be remembered that southern crane and kara-te have a connection :)

  • @jarmenta4 The second person is from the Da Yu Wu Shu Guan.

  • The form done by the second and last sifus are the same , Do you know what is the name of that form? It looks a lot like a Goju ryu Kata! This is grat material and a proof that there was a connection beetween Yong Chun White Crane and the development of Naha Te styles.... I wish there would be more field research about the topic.. Thankds so muchh for uploading!!
