  • i relate...

  • Rae changed my life as an artist. Her support, from my very first year of TAOLB, made me feel like my work was important and valuable. She welcomed me into the TAOLB community like a true sister, and under her leadership this organization have come to feel like a family to me.

She will indeed be missed. We will honor her memory by keeping The Art of Living Black alive and growing. Words cannot express how grateful I am for the privilege of knowing Rae Louise Hayward.

  • To my fellow artists and TAOLB family, I offer this perspective: Heaven will be more beautiful with the addition of Rae's spirit, and TAOLB will thrive beyond our imaginations. She is now a true guardian angel, watching out for us and making sure that we have favor with God. She will continue to guide us from heaven and our "voices" will reach so much further. We will insure that TAOLB will live strong and that Rae's spirit will be available to encourage and inspire future artists.

  • Rae WILL be truly missed. I thank God for so many fond memories with Rae which will remain in my heart forever.

    Peace

  • I totally agree. There are no words I can express for this very unfortunate reality. May she Rest In Paradise.

  • Rae Louise Hayward was truly an amazing and talented woman who blessed the lives of so many, including myself with her warmth, encouragement, humor, art and her beautiful, beautiful spirit--she was a rare and splendid ray in our world. RIP
