I am disappointed at the criticisms made about filming and Ken's acting.Ken was amazing!This is one of the most heartfelt episodes I have watched,from one of the best TV Shows ever made!Matt,Chester,Doc,Kitty,Sam and Festus were all honest,seemingly real characters!Their interactions made them friends we would all have loved to no! I am surprised no one has noticed that Gunsmoke in The Ex-Urbanites with Chester is pretty much this ep.Watch it,Festus plays a bad guy eventually tied up by Chester

The wishbone conceit is rather flimsy and the idea that Festus could find Doc so quickly utterly ludicrous. Still, Ken Curtis has rare chance to stretch his limited range, which is a treat. Milburn Stone is always fantastic. My quibble is with the snake: even in the mid-60s they could've simulated the actual strike: what we got was very lame.
Still in all a very enjoyable episode.
