A plastic culvert, along with nearly 6,000 cubic yards of fill and an upstream water control structure, created an earthen dam that altered the ecosystem in this Myers Creek tributary. This stream is of particular importance due to the function it provides as brook trout spawning habitat and as a source of clean, cold water. On September 10, 2010, the last scoop of fill was taken out and the stream was allowed to once again flow freely.
