This lesson will teach you two different ways to tune an electric bass guitar. First we will learn how to use an electronic tuner to get each string in tune. This is the method you will want to use when playing along with other musicians or recorded music. Then Russ will show you how to tune your bass using harmonics. This method of tuning comes in handy when you're practicing by yourself and don't have access to a tuner.

if anyone can help me, I'd appreciate it. I'm learning to tune my bass guitar, and I've got it down except for the deepest (fattest) string. I'm tuning (from highest pitched string to lowest) E, B, Gb, B. I have those notes nailed, except for the deepest string's B. I can't tune it to a B without the string flopping around more than the other strings. Is that normal, or is my neck possibly warped? I know a guy who can fix warped necks, so not a huge deal. Just wanna know whats up. TY
