Another Hard Mode boss challenge completed. Here I destroy Wily's Weapons Archive from the first Wily stage. This boss really appeals to nostalgia fans, as you fight one boss from each of the past Mega Man games.

When it comes to perfection with the Mega Buster, the only boss that sometimes gave me problems was Flame Man. Sometimes I forget where his upward shots are, and I end up getting burned.

Tips:
Elec Man - He will always start on the opposite side of where you're standing. Jump over his low Elec Beam shots, and just stand under the high shots. You may want to move to the left a little bit after his second low shot, so when you jump the last one you'll have enough room to avoid him when he returns to the pod.

Wood Man - Like Elec Man, he always jumps in on the opposite side of where you're standing. Jump his Leaf Shield, then jump in between the falling leaves as they're about to reach your position. Much easier to avoid than in MM2.

Gemini Man - He always starts right in the middle. Jump his Gemini Laser, then just keep shooting at him, running under him as he reaches your position.

Ring Man - Again, he always starts on the opposite side of where you're standing. Jump up and forward over his first ring shot. Keep shooting, then jump over him as he charges at you, then use the same method to jump over his next ring attack.

Napalm Man - This guy starts off a couple steps away from your current position. When he shoots out his napalm bombs, he will also jump, so run under him and shoot him. Repeat.

Flame Man - Again, always starts on the opposite side of where you're standing. Just stay on the other side and pelt him from there. Jump over his fireballs, while watching for the vertical pillars jumping over the second fireball. The video shows where the pillars will appear.

Slash Man - Simple. I normally use the Mega Buster against him anyway, since I have trouble aiming the Chill Spike at him. He always starts a couple steps away from your current position. A second after he touches down he will slash you, so time your jumps accordingly. When he jumps, run under him, then just keep pelting him and jumping his slash attacks.

Frost Man - Easy, but also easy to choke. I normally use the Mega Buster against him anyway, since I have trouble aiming the Commando Bomb at him. He always starts on the opposite side of where you're standing. Jump up and forward over his frost waves, get a couple shots on him, then run under him as he jumps.

Tornado Man - No spikes on the ceiling, so this fight is much easier than in MM9. When he spins, he'll blow his tornados. Just do a moon-jump over them, get a few shots off, then when he touches down after his tornado blows in mid-air, just run under him. Repeat.

  • I love the music for these bosses.

  • They should bring this boss back (If they make a Mega Man 11) and make you Fight

    Section 1: Fire Man (MM1), Quick Man(MM2), Shadow Man(MM3)

    Section 2: Dive Man(MM4), Charge Man(MM5), Knight Man(MM6)

    Section 3:Cloud Man (MM7), Tengu Man (MM8), Burner Man(MM&B),

    Section 4: Pluto(MMV), Hornet Man(MM9), Nitro Man(10)

    Section 5: Quint(MMII), Buster Rod G.(MMWilyWars), Time Man(MMPowered Up)

This would be so much win and hard.

  • man this was one of the only ones i could do with these restrictions...all the actual hard-mode bosses were crazy-hard no damage/buster only

  • @walkoff2 Unfortunately yes. I would've prefered them to change it up every time.

  • @MetalSmasherGaming

this boss music is awesome too!

  • So its the same 9 bosses every time?

  • @MetalSmasherGaming MetalSmasher,This is what i do in MM2 for woodman:

Stay in the bottom left corner, jump over the shield(still in the corner) then i metal blade him, rinse and repeat

  • Man, I LOVE this boss!

  • @TheMrolive I think the extreme epicness of the Weapons Archive justifies the bad choice in music. Also I agree with MSG's choices in music, although I feel the Robot Master theme is way up on the list too. Also Wily Stage 1 after the defeat of the first Weapons Archive.

  • I will agree, the overall soundtrack isn't as good as MM9, but it still has some gems, like Solar Man, Nitro Man, Wily Stage 2, and the Wily Capsule theme.
