TAGUIG CITY, Philippines--Intel's new chip codenamed Diamondville will pave the way for low-cost mobile PCs by mid-2008, says Navin Shenoy, vice president and general manager for Asia Pacific of Intel Semiconductor Ltd. Thanks to products like the Asus Eee PC and Classmate PC, Intel believes a market exists for the sub-$400 mobile PC that they have dubbed the Netbooks. The Netbook is an affordable Internet access mobile device targeted at children and users who want a "second" mobile PC. Video taken by INQUIRER.net reporter Erwin Oliva on February 19, 2008.
