Great location and good cinematography, but otherwise not up to much as compared to the book.

When is the scene when Kitty asks what Di-Ming is doing then Walter says that she's praying to the dead spirits something like that?

@lavenderblossom movie the Last Emporor to answer that question.

Refused baptism ?What a bright young girl.Again how the church gets em while they are to young to realize the lies being fed to them. They trust and take it as truth, and believe the crap.Religions really take advantage, and are selfish,by the time they are 10,they buy into it.Some don't,I didn't.I told the nun,"Sister,if Jesus were here,he would sell all the gold in the church, and feed the poor, wouldn't he?" I had to write 400 times, after school,Jesus knows all and I know nothing. Nuns suck.

@thehoopoe Ya, with that cute little bunny rabbit face of hers. But Ron Jeremy should have been cast as Townsend, or maybe Townsendstein.

The scene when she brings him his food and he's asleep, is very cute and sweet. Their relationship is slowly...Every so slowly...Blossoming...?
Those poor little children...
I wanted to know, does this story take place in 1930's China...? Because if it does, are they at some point going to show the Japanese soldiers marching in?
