  • alright Gr8Handyman, let's get the safety glasses on next time you chip away at the tile.

  • @salvo187 You're right as rain! I should have worn safety glasses.

  • great job... this video helps a lot!

Also, I think you are the only one in youtube actually REALLY removing and replacing a bathtub... Everybody else is breaking the d***n thing.

    Tks for posting it! :)

  • My pleasure. The tubs you speak of that are broken are cast iron. They are to heavy to move so a sledge hammer is used. Thanks for your comment.

  • Have you done any tub removal from a trailer home? If so is it the same?

  • hi, i had a quick question. i was replacing my backerboards around my tub for new tiles. at the top where old backerboard and new backerboard meet, there is a 2" gap. Can i use 6" waterproof roofing tape to seal the two joints and tile over it?

  • Good job! Nice demo techniques. The tub removal was my main interest, but saw other stuff I'll definitely will use in my renovation endeavors. Thanks

  • 2:26 hilarious!

  • Where's part 3 to this video. I watched the first and 2nd videos, but cannot find part 3.

  • why are you replacing this stuff? the tiles look almost new!

  • dude - where are you safety glasses?

  • How much would a bathtub and faucet replacement cost ???

  • how did you remove the drain pipe, because we can't seem to do it

  • Great job putting in the critical details! You saved me a ton of headache.

+1 for the comment about the safety glasses. I tend to use full regalia - glasses, dust mask and ear plugs (you ain't kidding about how loud demo gets!)

    cheers!
