  • Remember recording this on Snub TV (BBC 2) in 1989 - so great

  • i fucking want that jacket...

  • @funkypost Damn straight!! Viva "La Freedom of information" Revolution!!

  • @holsterboy166 - Search Youtube for "NIN hard copy". They did a ten-minute piece on the lost 8mm camera, from this video shoot, and why it caused a stir with the police and FBI when it was found in Michigan. (Was lost in Chicago, carried away on helium-filled balloons.)

Hard Copy did actually mention most of the facts involved, though they "dramatised" the story to the hilt and were heavily critical and sarcastic about NIN's reaction to the whole incident.

  • @aquapandora - From the Skinny Puppy wiki entry, "Trent Reznor also acknowledged that Skinny Puppy's 'Dig It' inspired the very first Nine Inch Nails track written that became the first hit song, 'Down in It'."

They didn't rip it off, they're similar yet completely different songs. Trent has also stated in many interviews that he's never referred to NIN as "industrial", despite people trying to put that label on them. S.P. probably founded the genre, but that isn't a "ripoff".

  • i use to listin to this song on my way to the bus stop for school stoned and not givvin a fuk if the world was on fire ...if i was listinen to this song leave me the fuk alone...good times :'(

  • @TheStparker In addition, NIN (which started in 1988 as a synth/pop new wave type band, not industrial rock. They began touring with Skinny Puppy in the late 80's as an opening act, and when they saw the mild success Skinny Puppy was having with Industrial Rock, NIN followed suit. Clearly NIN have gone on to be much more successful and overall a better band, that doesnt change where they came from. To cite a specific song, listen to the music in this song, then listen to Dig It by: skinny puppy

  • @TheStparker "First".. Nine Inch Nails is most certainly a band/project.. Trent isnt a solo musician. Secondly, instead of getting defensive and calling him a "legend" (as if he is going to send you a royalty check for doing so) why not google Skinny Puppy and learn about them. You will find that it is widely maintained within the legit industrial rock community that Skinny Puppy (who have been around longer than NIN) were completely ripped off by NIN.

  • @10Proteus If you have an intelligent comment, or response, go right ahead and post it..

  • @aquapandora Wow...who ties your shoes in the morning???...
