Thanks to lydisanc21 for her question about handling the cruel comments that people can make during your infertility journey.

  • We had to go to IVF and my mom was the only unsupportive person. She knew how long we tried and how bad we want kids, but she was against us having a "test tube" baby. And she only worried about all these embryos that would be wasted. The first round was terrible with NO great luck, and the best embryo ended up being a very sick little girl born at 21 weeks. But we are pregnant from round two and all looks good. My mom doesn't talk about it anymore because its done with, you can't change it

  • my parents dont want me having babies every time I say I would like an other one they go off about me not having them. and whenever I think i am pregnant (the last time I I got pregnant & miscarried) I get to hear about abortions

  • I get what you're saying. When dealing with negative people always remember to: consider the source. Take a good look at who's being negative and assess what role they really play in your life.

It's kinda hard to do that with family members, but sadly even the ones we grow up with can become total strangers to us as time goes on.

Great video. No BS. I love it.

  • Some people just dont understand the pain of infertilty! hugs to you x

  • Thank you for the response! I greatly appreciate it!

I wish my family would understand.

my grandma told me just the other day, 'why try just stop. That my younger cousin is a better mom and deserves to have as many babies as she wants.' So I have decide to cut her out of my journey and probably out of my life for good. She doesn't like the fact that my husband doesnt come around much, and I tell her he works 2 jobs and she just tells me no he thinks he is better than her (um no he doesnt)

  • great video!..I think this is something we all deal with...

  • I like the way you explained it as pertaining to young children. You can't get angry with young children for being "children" nor should you trust that "children" are capable of handling personal adult-like conversations with you either.
