In case of "God not answering" I often think about the concept that is here called "Erhabenheit" in german, solemnity in english i think, means that that not responding is also some kind of response. And the relationsship between human beings is certainly another relationship than between God and man, right. I can imagine situations in which God can not reach out to humans, whether he liked it or not, because his virtues are not what they expect him to be like.
@BringBackMy9Os a non answer is an answer to a point , but when everything is not answered that is an issue. I do not think that God could be limited to being able to reach out, but, if he is limited, then that sertenly is not the classical version of God as proposed by my faith of orgin.
are you sure? because God is limited in light of certain aspects, f.e. he cannot sin, that's his limitation. Or take away the human's free will, because that would be sinful to force love. Therefore he cannot always reachout to everyone, because the free will is an important factor, or, there can be situations where people are too distant to reach out for him and maybe even don't recognize "answers", because they are not the same they expected (not audiovisual etc)
@BringBackMy9Os I am not sure that all would agree on the term limited, as classicly, God (Chirstan) is concived to be able to do anything, however not being able to do (X) would serve as a counter to such an ablity. One COULD say that God can do (X) but chooses not to for unknown reasions. Sin - is a whole other can of worms of issues for me in a logical format. Of course, God might be illogical!
Sin is the absence of God (christian, orthodox), therefore God can not perform sin and "undo" or destroy himself (he is invincible and eternal). This would be the same task if asking someone to create a triangle that looks like a circle. It is just impossible, not because of lack of might (therefore still almighty) but because of lack of logic, reality, possibility, and such.
And this is as classic christian as you can get I'd say (as an humble orthodox '90s grampa)
@BringBackMy9Os Omnipotence (from Latin: Omni Potens: "all power") is unlimited power. Being able to do the logicaly imposible would be a power. Eather (G) has this and chooses to not use it, or lacks it thus does not have all power.
i think i understand your points.
