Yes you can, the ECU adjusts for this. The performance will be a little lower and you will get worse gas mileage when using lower octane fuel, but it will not damage the engine in anyway.

@stewardlie no but it will decrease lifespan and effency of the engine
same thing. engine size and performance are the only real differences.
