  • Best recorded example of dissonant, psychedelic, experimental EC and Cream. Due to revisionist history per Jann Wenner at Rolling Stone, and others like Charles Schaar Murray, people today don't realize that by 1968 Cream was bigger than the Experience, and Eric was at least as highly lauded as Jimi (who often praised Cream from the stage. Joe Skoczylas

  • Yeah! Cool sweet wine, really! Eric supreme!!! Number 1. End of the story.

  • stop the comparisons just watch hendrix play killing floor at the cream gig and decide for yourself even clapton walked off the stage and when asked where he was going said 'im off home to pracice'

  • Wow! Who was better??? Pathetic!!! Hendrix and Clapton had/have more respect for each other than any post arguing a ridiculous question.

  • Cream was fucking stellar. I wish some of those asshole critics didn't tear them up or they may have kept going. Apparently Rolling Stone (Jann Wenner) was 'influenced' by labels to pan certain albums or artists. Eric had a fragile ego and the terrible reviews helped to drive the nails into the coffin for Cream. Another case of greed destroying art...

  • True, Clapton was the greatest until 1968, but Woodstock was the game changer. What have you heard from the electric guitar that even remotely aproaches what Hendrix did at Woodstock. Also, Hendrix's 1970 cry of love tour which was his last took the electric guitar to a place where it never was before, and never will be after. Read Clapton's autobiography. Self admidtly all he did after Cream was shoot Heroine, and squeak out a few good albums. IE: Lay Down Sally?

  • @guitar1067 You're correct when you say that by 1968 Cream was bigger than the Jimi Hendrix Experience. But what you miss is that by end of '68, Eric couldn't compete with "King Electric guitar" Jimi Hendrix. And that is the truth! And by '69, the Jimi Hendrix Experience was drawing record crowds to their concerts that easily matched, if not surpassed Cream. Cream was not meant to last beyond 2.5 years. Eric could never have continued jamming at the intensity required to outmatch Jimi. Sorry.

  • @carlosesperanzo True dude !!!!

  • @caesarcerf True dude thats what I`m saying yo!!!!

  • clapton is more musically talented than hendrix, plain and simple. clapton can play legitimate flamenco riffs and do a whole host of stuff jimmy simply couldn't. jimi had some albert king technique down Eric didn't and Eric and everyone, subsequently over-praised hendrix. listen to hendrix acoustic playing - gar-bage.

  • @MrRcurrent That`s so real dude he`s my No.1 too but every time if I say that some kind of idiot comes around ... hey what about hendrix he`s the best I hink he was good but only for 5-6 years and not longer because he died EC is still the shit today and his solos are also bedder what do you think let me know dude XD!!!
