Charted at #26 on Billboard Hot 100 in 1960, and #7 on UK Singles chart. The song is from the movie "Circus of Horrors". There were several competing versions of this song out at the same time. This is the orginal British version. U.S. versions that charted on the Hot 100 during the same year were by Garry Miles (actually Buzz Cason using a fake name), Deane Hawley, and an instrumental version by Billy Vaughn. I have read that the record company had Buzz release the song under the name "Garry Miles" to create confusion with this original version by Garry Mills.

Yep, the early 60s were vastly different than the later part of the decade. People who weren't around, think only of "hippies" and "psychedelic music, mushrooms, and marijuana!" NOT TRUE!

Nice tune. If I remember correctly this song was played in the movie, Circus of Horrors. I saw that movie a very long time ago....

I heard the Billy Vaughn version back in the 60s in Japan. I didn't know there were four versions at the same time in 1960. It's sometimes educational to watch YouTube! I can learn pop music history! I listened to all four versions, and I like them all! Thanks TheLimePopsicle for your description!
