Kobe = 29.4ppg 47% without handchecking; MJ = 30.7ppg 46%, handchecking allowed. Which was more impressive?
Irrelevant. Kobe's career average FG% in the Finals is 41.2%. Again, Kobe consistently shoots poorly in the Finals, regardless of who plays defense on him. Michael Jordan's career FG% in the Finals is 48.1%. So no, GP made a greater difference on defense.
Def. Ratings: '96 Finals GP - 110.3; '01 Finals AI - 111.6. Def. Rating = points allowed per 100 possessions. The LOWER # is better.

The 80s, where MJ played, and individually dominated. That destroys your "weak era for guards" claim. Of course a disingenuous retard like you would say "0-8 against Larry Bird", when in actuality it was vs. the 4 HOFers Celtics that guarded MJ *as a team* in the playoffs. That same guy Larry Bird said, "Early on, people said Michael didn't have a team mentality. That's because he didn't have a team." Nuff said.
"Avg over 20ppg" Several, including Mitch Richmond. Watch the video, ignoramus.

LOL! I've already refuted this with facts:
1. "AI made a greater FG% difference on defense" False. GP got 48.1% FG (Finals Career) MJ to shoot 41.5%; AI got 41.2% (Finals Career) Kobe to shoot 41.5%.
2. "AI avg. more steals/game" AI played more MPG, retard. And playing passing lanes, not on-ball defense.
3. "AI had a better defensive rating" No he didn't. Def. Ratings: '96 Finals GP - 110.3; '01 Finals AI - 111.6. Def. Rating = points allowed per 100 possessions. The LOWER # is better, dumbfuck!

Defense is played with your feet.
But hey, even if you want to ignore that then ok. Because the Hand-Checking argument only FURTHER SUPPORTS my argument:
Allen Iverson made a greater FG% difference on defense.
Allen Iverson Avg. more steals/game than GP.
Allen Iverson Avg. had more Blocks (GP had ZERO)
Allen Iverson had a Better Defensive Rating.
And that's all without being able to Handcheck xD I guess Allen Iverson was the better Defender after all :D
Thanks for proving my point dumbass!

Since I've utterly destroyed you with my last 3 posts, do yourself a favor and educate yourself more on this issue.
"The death of defense?" by Roland Lazenby, October 20, 2006

As you read, you'll see more of why your staggeringly ignorant claim of "Defense was tougher in the 2k Era" is laughable. Tex Winter, Rod Thorn, Rick Barry, et al. would laugh in your face then smack you upside your head for your dumbass comments.
Checkmate, bitch.

During a 2007 Lakers pre-season broadcast, Phil Jackson was asked how he thought Michael Jordan would perform today, Phil said "Michael would average 45 with these rules."
When questioned, "In the current league where there is no hand checking and no ruff play how much better would your numbers be? Clyde Drexler said, "Oh, tremendously better, from shooting percentage to points per game everything would be up, and our old teams would score a lot more points."
Kicking the shit outta you is fun xD

"It would have been virtually impossible to defend Michael Jordan based on the way the game's being called right now." - Joe Dumars
"M.J. could score 100 points in this era. You can't hand-check now. Imagine that trying to guard M.J. It would be crazy." - Craig Hodges, former LAL assistant coach
"You can't even touch a guy now. The college game is much more physical than our game. I always tease Michael [Jordan], if he played today, he'd average 50." - Larry Brown, '04 Pistons Coach

Stu Jackson helped CREATE the new rules of the 2k era, dipshit. Oh, you want a player?
"If we could hand check now, the game would be totally different. If they couldn't hand check back in the day, there are some guys that would have been even better than they were. It would have been nuts for some of the big-time scorers and perimeter players from the 1980s and 1990s. Can you imagine what [Michael] Jordan would have done in a league where you couldn't hand check?" - Joe Johnson
Owned, BITCH LOL
