About:
The popsicle stick skyscraper was started in October 2008 after watching a Youtube video by Thunderrabbit. It was immediately decided a much larger and taller version should be made.

Construction started with 4 small clay blocks which allowed us to secure many starting tracks to a single point. Clay is also used on this sculpture to smooth impossible bumps in the tracks or holes where the marble becomes lodged or lost.
Using clay is kept to an absolute minimum and is used as a last resort.

Once a single track has bee built to a certain height, any gaps it has left is filled in by another track. This gives the structure a random and tight quality.
