TRON is, without a doubt, one of the greatest arcade games of all time. Like Goldeneye 64, TRON was a movie-based game that actually turned out right for once. If you ever see an actual TRON arcade game in working order, play it. As you can see in this vid, I'm not very good, as I can't even get past level 3. I also threw some Kickman gameplay in there, cuz that game is awesome. : - )

  • did they ever remake this for NES or something? i cant even find an origonal tron version flash game

  • @TitanicMasta

Disney has released a flash version of this with occasional updated graphics on their games website.

  • I'll put a response up when I get my Tron restored... It was converted to Two Tigers back in the 80's and spent the past 15 or so years in a barn, till I got it out this Summer. Taking it back to brand new.

I'll try to add on a little clip at the end of the video of a friends Environmental Disks of Tron cab... that lucky son of... :)

  • Hey, are you LUCKYMAN from Tron-Sector? I'm TRON.dll, and once again, good luck on getting it restored. : - )

  • Na, I went to Tron sector a while ago for some help, one of the guys that responded wanted me to write a friggin' essay on the MCR system before he would help... so I stick to the KLOV forums now.

I'm getting really close to getting her done. I'm waiting until I get a full control panel before I take Two Tigers out... I need something to play to kill time. After the CP comes in, it's just a matter of programming the eproms and remaking the monitor mounts and I'll be knee deep in Troness again.

  • Oh, yeah, I'm sorry no one there could help you. We've got some members there who've literally taken those things apart and put 'em back together again, unfortunately, they probably weren't online at the time. : - (

  • @tannenman Your mom sucks balls, fag

  • i like your psa at the end. it's very true-you can play this on a mame emulator, but you can only use the super cool blue glowing joystick on the arcade version! better yet, if you can find a sit down version of "discs of tron", you're in for a treat!

  • Check out my TV review of 80's Tron game. It was on Freetime .. Kid's TV programme!

  • Sure is NOISY

  • Well, I got the machine up and running, I've gotten pretty good at it again. I can make it to SNOBOL without die'ng, but I used to be better... it's all coming back to me. I'll work on getting the camera set up so I can record it.

  • I've taken this one apart and put it back together when I first got it to clean everything. The issues I'm having now are ROM and RAM based, everything's already ordered so it should be fixed in the next week or so. Just have to erase and reprogram the EPROMs and replace the 6116 RAM and everything should be fine.

Everything else is good, the 2 other boards in the cluster are good, just the SSIO is bad. The power supplies and amp are good. Monitor needs a cap kit, and that's on the way as well.
