THIS IS THE CONTROVERSIAL VIDEO THAT KSDK USED TO TRY TO SHUT DOWN PUBDEF.NET

After promising that on Friday we'd hear a tape of a allegedly crooked real estate seller "saying he makes regular payments of cash to the local alderman," KSDK ran a short follow-up that did not include the tape, the name of the alderman, or any mention of the allegation.

I figure the story was dropped because the two parties reached an agreement that involved restitution-- with the proviso that the TV station (a third party) agree to abandon the story.

It was certainly a civil matter that could involve criminal charges--although it'd be very difficult for a prosecuting attorney to prove.

I can understand how it disappeared.

Yeah, this sucks big!!! What happened to the part about him paying the alderman?? What was it a a scam between he and the alderman, so now it's a gag order on the story, or was channel five paid off to cut it out? This man is impersonating a real estate agent, can we say fraud? And yes crimminal charges should be filed and he should be jailed for scamming them out of thier money!! I wonder what would happen if this was a white couple from chesterfield or st. charles.
