  • @TheArizonaMark It's too bad you're so stupid. If I were a moron like you, I sure wouldn't be broadcasting it all over YouTube. You obviously have no taste in music.

  • I was cut off, but I love your stye Mzria. Anyway, at the same time I'm watching a Shaft movie- I believe u guys r around the same era. (smile) Well I am watching Shaft and I just started to cry; maybe it's a flashback of something i didn't want to face, but Maria I can see my past and feel my past because I was listening to your song. By the way- it just pop up in my head. i Love u. These flashbacks are good because I'm going to face my wrongs and kick ass. Thanks.

  • Why try to rationalize with these punk one shots. You can't listen to an acoustically bad piece and determine a singer's worth. She gave life to her song in the early 70's....over 40 years ago!!!....IF people are still listening to it today AND she is still selling seats that speaks for itself. A sexy song and songstress!!!

  • STILL can't sing live....she is one of the WORST live singers I have EVER heard...no wonder she had one hit....she STINKS

  • @Cyclist0623 Me three!

  • No problem to me. We all change as we grow older. it happens. Doesn't mean you stop living what you love, just because you got to go down 3 semi-tones! And I'll say this - I'll still slip off to a sand dune with Maria - any time! Real soon!

  • This is sad. When she did this song on the Midnight Special in 1974, the key was a three semitones (a minor third) higher. She's also revised the melody to remove the high notes she used to be able to hit.

This isn't as bad as Elton John, Roger Daltrey or Glenn Frey-- and I know she has to include the song-- but I still wouldn't see her. Really admire Grace Slick for just retiring when she couldn't hit the notes anymore

  • Maria Muldaur sounds fine. Timeless. Please tell us about the band! Who is the guitarist? Who plays bass??

    Thanks

  • always loved this song
