Video of Dolly Parton at the 20th Anniversary Dollywood Parade on the parkway in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Approaching storms kept her enclosed in a plexiglas bubble. This was just a few hours after she shocked 1,600 people inside the Celebrity Theatre with 20 years of free admission to Dollywood! April 2005.

  • Why is she sitting in that glass enclosure? Very strange.

  • Heavy rain was approaching the area. So to keep her out of the rain in case the rains came before the parade ended, they enclosed her in a plexi-glass enclosure.

  • What a fantastic gift: 20 years of Dollywood entrance fee! Dolly is really generous.

  • Thanks for commenting. I was lucky enough to get one of the 20 year passes. The pass is also good for 20 years free admission to Splash Country. I hope she knows that we all greatly appreciate her generosity. :)

  • hey do u know the name of the song she is singing as she passes u? thanks awsome vid

  • Thanks, I'm glad you like it. I try to add one or two new ones every month.

Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the song that is playing from her float. It sounds like at one point she says 'Coat of Many Colors' and her voice sounds fairly young. So perhaps its an older recording.

  • Oh this is sooo cool to see! I was at that parade...I was 15 and I had a sign that said "Gosh oh Golly, Canada Loves Dolly" and she pointed to me and mouthed "thank you darlin!"...I am fairly certain it is me that she is pointing to at 1:12 because I have it on video as well and the music is on que...that made my life (I cried like a 2 year old when she noticed me lol).

  • just reading below I noticed you were talking about how generous Dolly is. I grew up in Pigeon Forge, and was actually in this parade acouple of times. Anyway Dolly donated alot to our school. Every Christmas all of the "less fortunate kids" went home with a backpack full of toys, a crisp new $5 bill, and new shoes!! I love her!

  • If only we could bottle Dolly, ha! So great how she does this parade every year - I hope to see it one day

  • Actually I assumed it had to do with the weather. Still, it looks very weird. IMO

  • hey the song is it wasnt god who made honky tonk angels =] thank you so much

  • It sounds like it might be "It Wasn't God Who Made Honkytonk Angels"

  • I was at this parade! It was the first time I saw Dolly!
