Try some of these ideas next time you're feeding a picky eater. Children often will eat food that they make so let your child customize his meal so that he is eating his favorite foods. For example, let the child help make his own pizza. Set out a whole wheat crust and healthy toppings like broccoli, tomatoes, grilled chicken, and reduced-fat cheese.
Kids also love dips so make fruit skewers and serve with yogurt for dipping.

well i mash cauliflower with mashed potatoes, and i have also found out if like your hubby is a picky eater, or you are, then yours kids will be too. I spent my first 3 years eating more around my father, he is like a billy goat, and i am too. while my brother spent more time with my mom who is a picky eater, and he is one too. I also do the three time rule, they try it once and don't like it then next time i make it they have to try it again,if by the 3rd they still don't then I'll hide it
