@mrnolan91, I love how this forum is so rife with hyperbole, especially when directing it at another contributor. I wouldn't assume that simply because Nolan is outrageously commercially successful that profits are his sole aim, that he's able to create films that contain such densely layered narratives that also manage to avoid alienating moviegoers is a form of genius in itself. Admittedly, Kubrick was able to anticipate an emerging zeitgeist; Nolan offers a take on the present condition.

@jtatsiue Although I love Nolan and believe that he is one of todays best, he has nothing to do with Kubrick, man. You must be blind or sucking Nolan's dick(maybe both) to create such a lie.
Kubrick's movies are almost technicly flawless. Nolan's movies are filled with goofs.
Kubrick uses symbolism in his movies while Nolan is a more open director. Even characters spoil the main message for us.
Kubrick works with an actor only for one time. Nolan employs same actor five times. (Michael Caine)

You know I was hatin on Leonardo DiCaprio after Titanic, but dude can act man. The departed and Blood Diamond were awesome and I gained alot of respect for him as a actor.

Not strictly a movie review, that was a set of opinions.

@jtatsiue LOL nolan the new kubrick, thats one of the funniest jokes i have ever heard. paul thomas anderson is the next kubrick. i mean give me a break, nolan makes superhero movies and blockbusterx for the masses like you. kubrick was a artist, not a commercial director who makes unnecesary sequels (aka batman 3)

It seems like he's about to pan it, then says it's way too much like Shutter Island, then he calls it "original", declares Chis Nolan a genius (which he is, the new Kubrick in my opinion) and then he gives it a 9.2 instead of a 9.8, calling it a great movie that he can't stop thinking about and wants to see again. His review was WAY more confusing than the plot.
