Sugar and alcohol are interchangeable addictions. Many people, while attempting to do the right thing and shop organic while beginning their condictive diet fall into the "organic" sugar trap. Because a sugar is organic, while it may be better for you on one level, it can lead you directly into relapse because the bottom line is...Sugar is Sugar! It will still encourage addiction, hypoglycemia, insulin resistance, cancer, etc.

  • FINALY SOMEONE WHO SPEAKS THE TRUTH!!! THANK YOU!

  • Great audio on this!

  • ......I've never found any of his knowledge or suggestions to be the least bit intelligent or informative, and despite paying loads of money with co-pays, have essentially been left to fend for myself, and do my own researching and my own

"soul-searching". Ironically, almost any time I tried to make a input that I found to b useful or insightful in my group meetings, my poor excuse of a counselor would accuse me of "over intellectualizing." What a jerk!

  • I'm glad I found the 101program. Though I'm a bit skeptical of some of the info, what you're offering is far more promising and helpful than anything N.A. or the 12-step program has offered me.

My out-patient rehab counselor at a clinic structured around the 12-step program obviously never broke his addiction, he merely substituted food and sweets, and he's extremely overweight and has diabetes... ...

  • I bake, and I don't feel like spending $6.00 - $10.00 a pound for Xylitol as a sugar substitute. There is also no way in Hell that I would ever use sucralose (Splenda). So what do I use? I use Organic Sugar. If you drink whey protein shakes, you won't see the spikes in blood sugar like you may otherwise see.

  • the thing about fruits is that the sugar in it is not sucrose or glucose that is easily digested by your body, basically it makes your body works harder for the sugar in it.

this helps a lot by moderating your sugar level throughout the day, some fruits do have glucose and sucrose on a higher content than usual these fruits tend to be avoided if possible if diet is your goal.

some fruits however such as dates and strawberry have a chemical to help control blood sugar (makes you full longer)

  • Beep Beep, Smack, Garble, Beep, Achooo, Beep,Snap, Beep, Crack, Beep, POP, Beep, "Clean up in aisle 8!!",Beep, WAAAAAAAA, Beep, "Paper or Plastic", Beep

  • Agreed. Good content but using a microphone, directional or not, could be of help in future vids.

  • Sexy?

  • meant to be eaten in moderation I guess. I mean think about it, in the primitice world, fruits were only available in late spring to mid autumn!... And then there was wine in the winter. heh. I don't know of many fruits that were available year round from the same area.
