As for humans being the most intelligent animals on the planet.
We are just another species full of our own importance. Our time will come. At the moment were just overpopulating and eating ourselves to extinction. The world wont miss us when were gone.

The eastern and western grey kangaroos are not endangered and could be sustainably farmed.
This would only benifit Australia as our soils wont be able to survive the onslaught of hard hoofed animals for much longer. Other macropods like the bridled nailtail wallaby of Queesland and the yellow footed rock wallaby are endangered. The greatest threat to these and other criticaly endangered Australian species is cats and foxes and the idiots who let their cats stray from their homes.

I love the video!

if we continually kill kangas like we did the whales then kangas will become extinct - the rock wallaby is endangered frm being hunted so much for fur etc! this video it shit and has no intellectual argument. Why not spend your time helping whales instead of bringing down kangaroos

Even elephants are capable of understand which species are beneficial; and act accordingly.
That is the start. Everybody loves to see good eating animals abound. Crop farming is less natural. We have already lost many luxuries to commercialization.
The last 100 years has changed everything because we made the world too small. (If there is a panic it is because we do at a exponential rate).

"They literally cannot understand anything beyond food, sleep, running from danger and protecting their family"
'They" are a diverse concept. The may seem instinctive to you, but they adapt to changes like we adapt, and if we use our sentient brains to survive then more power to us.
We are scoring badly. We think we are driven by logic, but mostly we are sheep-people.
I think we take too much for granted, but it seems that we are too busy with ideas and not in fact 'animal' enough.

Eddie, I disagree, with your last point but I agree that that we humans have the kind of organizational skills that enable us to put species at out mercy on a whim.
I don't think we are the 'ultimate' sentient beings, nor that we the 'only' fundamental link on the food chain.
Like an animal, I can feel the threat that we pose to ourselves as well as other creatures.
If the human race is going to continue to prosper we have to put our reasoning skills to good use

I don't believe it is childish in fact it could be more rational than your argument. Why try to prevent the inevitable? What makes you think that our intervention will prolong life long enough to allow us to create technology to mitigate something like the sun dying or a reversal of the polar extremes? If we wanted to stop "global warming" we should have found a way to prevent the cows in the world from extruding methane gas.
I don't want to trash the party and I'm not siding with the pro-whaling fishermen in Japan but why do we need to save the whales? What happened to good ole survival of the fittest? If mankind makes a certain species extinct then it means the species was too weak to live through our destruction. That is like saying that if there was a lion eating people it should stop cause its not right? Also not to sound like a kook but not all scientist believe global warming is real, in fact most disagree.

They litterally cannot understand anything beyond food, sleep, running from danger and protecting their family. Just because because we live by the law of "survival of the fittest" doesn't mean that we should act like we don't have a brain and act like animals. Our brains make us very unique and gives us the ability to think beyond "hungry, food, sleep, impregnate", so why should we act like every other animal with little to no intelligence?

"If mankind makes a certain species extinct then it means the species was too weak to live through our destruction"
I'm sorry, but were not small brained elephants or slugs, and being "weak" has nothing to do with it. Were the most intelligent beings on this planet, and with it comes certain responsibilities. If you're going to have an attitude like that, you may as well cut your brain in half and go hand with the lizards.

hang* with the lizards.

Thanks for your reply but I still believe that we can not save everything, it just is not possible. Things die out and we will die out eventually too. But I respect your opinion.

That's true, but that doesn't mean we should do all we can to quicken the possibility of destroying everything on the planet. We are capable of and have the knowledge to lessen the destructive impact we make on the planet and everything on it. What you mentioned in your first reply is a childish way of thinking. It's like saying, yeah I know I can do good, but I don't want to because I don't want to...
