Yet another old World of Warcraft video.
Long before the Burning Crusade was even a thought in anyone's wildest dreams, Blizzard released the 1.6.0 patch which prominently featured the 40-man raid instance called Blackwing Lair. This was the first new raid instance since the game was originally released back in November 2004.
Once you had killed the first drake, Firemaw, in Blackwing Lair, there was a lengthy trash clear to the next boss, Ebonroc or Flamegor. Before you could engage them, there was a group of 3 Death Talon Wyrmguards that you needed to kill, and the random abilities they were granted made them a challenge for any raid group to kill.
One group of 5 individuals from the guild Destiny on the US server Shadowmoon decided to take on these Wyrmguards. They kited these mobs and killed them multiple times... which apparently wasn't something that Blizzard had intended. This is the video which caused Blizzard to hotfix the Wyrmguards so they were faster, and thus could not be kited to death. Much complaining from endgame raid guilds ensued.
