@Metallian well you could try nfs hot pursuit (2010) it looks really cool and it looks looks like ea went back to 90's style gaming with a modern twist

The easiest fro me but McLaren's in this highest level of difficulty was a hell to win.

@Metallian But we still love the esprit V8. :) Need For Speed 2 is the essence of the series and my childhood of course. The bigest mistake ever when EA given the series from ea canada to blackbox. They just fucked up the series after 2000.

Heh, I agree. Lotus was my favourite in NFS2, but Mystic Peaks was the only track where I could even win the mighty F1 and the others, but I could never beat the Ferrari F50's top record on that track, didn't even come close to that one. Did break the lap record a few times though, that wasn't so hard.

The only track where Esprit could really win in NFS2 was the Mystic Peaks, heh. Esprit was probably the slowest car in the game and acceleration wasn't very good either (60mph in 4.8s while F1 made it in 3.2s) so it just didn't stand a chance against the other cars in the other tracks.
I'd like an updated NFS2 with the engine, graphics etc of the new NFS games, but the cars and tracks from NFS2. Could have few extra tracks of course. I don't know, maybe there is a game or mod like that already?
