The traditional Finnish speaking culture of Finland has the dream shared by all and lived by all that all people in all countries would live freely and happily, and in peace and friendship with each other, in a kind of global paradise that we believe to be possible in reality - if the others just would copy from us and from each other what wisdom they have to learn. We have lots of cultural wisdom, answers to problems that lead to this direction, but unfortunately our traditional culture is almost disappearing...

This is an old song by Sibelius, words by Koskenniemi. But I think it proper for this modern Americanized age that it sings of the dream of the Finnish nation that is very much the living soul of its people - kind of like the stars in the flag of USA symbolize the common dreams of a nation. Also the point of view of the song is very much global if it is interpreted in connection with the Finnish nation like it ought to be interpreted.
